People are not the only ones affected by this blistering heat. Without these fans, farmers would see catastrophic losses of market-age birds in less than 20 minutes! That means, without reliable backup power, a brief power outage could cost the poultry farm dearly.

The time to identify a problem with a generator is during a test, not during an emergency! A relationship with a reliable service provider that can provide regular preventative maintenance and identify risks ahead of time is critical.

It was a beautiful day to replace a unit at a customer's farm. Old 200kW hauled out and a new APS 250kW with a John Deere engine. Listen to purr!

Finally starting to slow down and catch up since Florence came through.

Just a quick reminder to keep generators properly maintained.

Local integrator had Atlantic Power Solutions visiting farms running on generator during the storm to look for potential failure points. When we arrived on this site gen was running between 45-47 hz and making 170 Volts. It should be 60hz & 240V. Within minutes of our arrival the unit shut down, fortunately we were on site. Quick change of fuel filters and he was back up and running. The pic attached is the fuel filter we pulled off the unit.

As a reminder to all who are in the path of hurricane Irma. Keep a spare set of fuel filters on hand in case you have to refuel while running on generator.
