A lot of SKYMO customers are ham radio operators who want a proper mobile install but don't want to drill into their vehicle.

The thing is, some mobile ham rigs are not light, and not small. You need something that holds the radio securely. At the same time, drilling into the console or dash isn't appealing when you've got a newer car or truck or a vehicle you plan to keep.
