Probably 20+ shooters. Different positions, bipod locations, bag positions and types. The same answer. 👊

One of my biggest confidence builders with our No Shift Frames has been putting them in shooters’ hands and letting them see for themselves.

At the Gas Gun Finale this past weekend, we brought two frames for explaining how it work, then two full ri**es to our demo booth. We set up on a classic “rock stage,” with positions ranging from prone to a variety of supported positions and targets from 324 to 800 yards.

No rehearsed setup. No coaching on where or how to load the r***e into a position.

The instructions were simple: Load 3-4 rounds, establish your elevation, then change positions add some rounds and watch where the next rounds land.

Shooter after shooter saw the same thing: the same elevation and windage after changing positions.

Then I watched a customer who had just received his No Shift Frame shooting a rack of small circles that looked to be roughly 4-500 yards away. Before long, he and the other shooters were challenging themselves from different positions, seeing what they could do.

That was an awesome moment to watch. They were exploring what they could accomplish and building confidence with every position change.

As the manufacturer and designer, watching that unfold with something I’d been told couldn’t be done meant more than I can put into words.

A quick production update for everyone waiting on a barrel:

Our main chambering lathe has required repairs yet again, which has delayed the chambering stage of production. The machine is less than a year old, and we’re working directly with the manufacturer now to resolve the issue.

After extensive troubleshooting and an evaluation by an outside service company last week (very costly) the manufacturer is addressing the problem. I’m hopeful we’ll have it resolved within the next week, and I’ll share another update as we confirm its progress.

I won’t send out a chamber that falls short of MTE’s standards. Every customer deserves the quality and accuracy they trusted us to deliver.

Contouring and all other production are continuing at full capacity, moving orders as far through the process as possible. Once the lathe is back in service, my priority will be chambering the contoured blanks already on the build wall and getting those orders completed and shipped.

I know the additional wait is frustrating, and I appreciate your patience and support. I want to keep you informed while we work through this and make sure every order receives the attention it deserves.

Customers often call and ask me to make their ri**es recoil less without hurting reliability.

I have customers who hunt in minus-whatever temperatures… no thanks! 😂 But I tune their ri**es here in Texas.

A question came up a while back: “If you tuned my r***e in warm weather in Texas or Oklahoma, will I have reliability issues when I take it up north in the cold?”

The answer is no—not if it came from me and was built my way.

That said, if you tune your r***e at 20°F with a hot load and then run that same load at 110°F in the summer, you’ll need to turn the gas down slightly to keep recoil as low as possible. However, reliability will still be perfectly fine, so long as it was set up correctly.

I wanted to do a fun, impromptu test to demonstrate this. Eight days ago, I assembled a 16” PRS Lite for my son to shoot in a PRSuit match that weekend and then take on a hunt in Idaho. I tuned it exactly like I do for every customer.

I put about 60 rounds through it Friday morning to start breaking it in. Then came a 160-round match, roughly 40 more rounds confirming data in Texas, and another 15–20 rounds confirming data and zero in Idaho.

He shot a muley at 512 yards. Perfect shot placement (thanks Kestrel Ballistics), and it tipped over about 2–3 feet from where it had been standing when shot. That’s what the necropsy photo is from.

Throughout all of this, the r***e was never cleaned or adjusted. It was run suppressed the entire time, with a low-mass carrier, an adjustable gas block, and a high-flow suppressor from KGM. It hasn’t been cleaned in any way since we built it. I added Lucas oil twice this far in the r***e’s use. I didn’t bring tools or oil to Idaho, as I was that confident in the process we have.

When it gets to North Carolina this weekend, the bore will be cleaned to help with barrel break-in, but nothing else will be cleaned or adjusted. After that, it heads back out to Colorado—again, without any additional cleaning or adjustments.

This was a Moose we saw this morning, as my son Jaxson, Toby and I started our Idaho Deer hunt. We are definitely putting these No Shift frames in every real-world scenario possible to help validate its claim.

First PRSuit & No Shift Frames match

My Son and I will do a livestream probably between 3-3:30 today as a post-match wrap-up on our first PRSuit Match. I’ve done a ton of testing with these No Shift Fames now it will discussed for the first time on video.Today is the No Shift frame’s first match, and my son and I will be going live afterward to talk about how it went.

We’ll share our first impressions, the good moments, the tough stages, and what we learned along the way.

This is the Pursuit 6.5 and 30 cal. They sound great and reduce recoil very well. I’m extremely happy with them. These No Shift Set ups are wild!!!!
