New product alert!!

We now make Sig 716i Tread compatible barrel nuts! So you can mount any BAR style mount compatible hand guard on your Sig 716i Tread!!

****Some handguards lip backwards over the upper and interfere with the ejection port cover rod location on the Sig. We are modifying our handguards as purchased so you do not have that issue with our full length ARCAs However if choosing another Aero or other handguard with a lip this will need to be modified by you.****

We are incredibly blessed to have been able to support the Medal Of Honor Foundation and 1861 Foundation Auction last week.

We recognize most folks won’t ever know anyone with a MOH, we have a friend who has one, and helped with starting this foundation. We want to make sure this foundation succeeds.

This foundation is very quiet and is learning how to help. They do an annual 1861 Foundation Auction and Clay shoot. It was started recently by recipients of the MOH.

Please, reach out to them and let them know what a difference social media presence can have for their efforts! As far as I can tell they don’t have any social media presence right now.

Congratulations to Sean Jolly, a happy customer shooting a MTE Machining LP 25 Creedmoor Barrel!!!

He won Top Gas Gun at the Precision Rifle Series Kahles match in Tennessee. This is a National Level two day “Qualifier” that is known for pushing shooters to the max. That’s a big win, nice shooting!

No, he isn’t sponsored, just a happy customer.

I frequently get asked how do my rifles seem to cycle so smoothly, and be so reliable with minimal gas input to the system.(less recoil)

One of the reasons is because when the breech, the bolt and the extension are all perfectly perpendicular to the bore’s centerline you don’t have to overcome random hiccups in the lock and unlock of the bolt.

This is the difference in making things to a “nominal”spec vs “the” spec for that set up.

Sometimes craftsmanship has benefits folks don’t understand until they do understand…

This is what a perfectly true, matched and blueprinted barrel feels...

We hope today you take a moment to remember our fallen brothers. Those friends who will never sit on the back patio again grilling out with their families. They will never again throw the baseball in the backyard with their son or daughter. They will never take their kids hunting and will never know the joy of looking past what was once in that objective lens with now there children by there side. They will never enjoy the occasional flash back in a match as they index to the next target. They will never enjoy the pursuit of something new with their family now.

They will never be in the team room again joking and laughing about “…the time this; or that one thing that almost happened…” with scenarios people could not believe or understand without being there themselves.

Some us have friends in our contacts list that will never be deleted. These men did these actions in order to make sure the average American Citizen can enjoy their day. Others just know folks who have, some were married to them, others were fathered by them.

Remember, Roman’s 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Everyone’s purpose is different. Many will never understand what that means. Many will struggle to wake up every day because of its meaning. All in very different ways.

We at MTE Machining hope you enjoy your Memorial Day, as our brothers sacrificed for you to be able to. Though not all will, we can find peace in the strength of our faith. May you have a blessed Memorial Day.

Quite often I get asked, “What do you mean when you say you blueprint and match bolts, extensions, and breech faces?”

The answer is actually simple: everything is machined and verified to be properly aligned with the bore’s centerline, perfectly perpendicular where it matters, and correctly spaced to ensure even load distribution.

Why does that matter?

It’s one of the reasons we don’t commonly see off-center case base bulges or bolt lug failures at the rates often associated with less refined systems. When the bolt, extension, and breech face are properly matched and trued, the load is distributed evenly across all locking lugs rather than concentrated on only a few.

The result is smoother lockup, more consistent engagement, and a system that is far less prone to binding—even when the extension area isn’t perfectly maintained.

The follow-up question is usually:

“Well, if I ever break a bolt, can I use another one?”

The video answers that question better than words can. However, Red A Plemons is the mastermind behind this methodology, I added a twist from what I did with T-Box but he is the one who started this all.

A perfectly trued and matched bolt, extension and breech gets you a consistent lock and unlock evenly distributed across all lugs at the same time.
