This week, members of had the opportunity to visit Batesville Elementary School, Brookhaven Academy, Mannsdale Lower Elementary, and North Delta School to read “Rosie Revere, Engineer” and talk with students about creativity, problem-solving, and what engineers really do.

Encouraging young scholars to explore engineering and STEM fields is one way we help them see how they can transform their future — and the communities around them.

A big thank you to the schools for welcoming us into your classrooms — and to the students for their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and incredible enthusiasm!

“The most important ‘infrastructure’ we can build is a strong community.”

We’re continuing our series by highlighting a partnership that has been part of our community involvement for years. Through our involvement with the Mississippi Engineering Society, has proudly joined forces with our industry colleagues to support Stewpot Community Services, Inc.

Over the years, our team has traded site plans for aprons and pantry crates, stocking shelves, organizing supplies, and helping ensure our neighbors have access to the essentials. These days at Stewpot are a powerful reminder that the most impactful projects aren’t always made of concrete and steel—they’re built through service.

But filling the bucket doesn’t stop when volunteer days end. It’s a year-round commitment. Our office stays busy collecting shopping bags and egg cartons—small items that contribute to Stewpot’s daily pantry operations. Our collection bins are always ready.

As we celebrate 25 years of growth, we recognize that success is a gift—and giving back is part of our responsibility. We’re honored to continue supporting the community that has supported us since 2001.
Have extra egg cartons or shopping bags? Drop them by our office, and we’ll make sure they get to Stewpot.

Today we kick off Engineers Week 2026!

This year’s theme, “Transform Your Future,” highlights the impact engineers have on shaping communities, advancing technology, and building what’s next.

At , we’re proud to be part of a profession that transforms ideas into infrastructure, challenges into solutions, and vision into reality.

Here’s to the engineers who make it happen every day!

From Day 1, has been building the future of Mississippi.

One of Mendrop’s first projects was a landmark collaboration with the State of Mississippi and Mississippi Development Authority to help establish the Nissan North America assembly plant in Madison County. As the engineering management firm, Mendrop (then Mendrop~Wages) didn’t just move dirt; Blake Mendrop, Chad A. Wages, and their team oversaw a $200M+ infrastructure investment that proved Mississippi could compete on a global stage.

The project met aggressive schedules and strict budgets while coordinating more than 20 professional service firms and multiple government agencies to deliver building pads, water systems, and major transportation interchanges. The result was transformative: billions of dollars in private investment and more than 5,300 high-wage jobs for Mississippians.

This wasn’t just our first project—it was our promise to the State of Mississippi that we have the strategic oversight to deliver world-class industrial development.
