November was a busy month and TallyHo has gone international! Here are some Civil Engineering Operations Flight Activities at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar
1) Torch Welding a trailer hitch.
2) Installing a new AC unit. The weather is beautiful now, but the summers are brutal.
3) Fixing a compressor that keeps good frozen for the troops.
4) The airmen performing preventative maintenance on the barriers that catch planes that need to land on a shortened runway or with malfunctioning equipment.
5) Working with the locals to get needed supplies outside the base.
6) Night Ops on the airfield. Ops Never Stops!!
7) Fixing the base pool shower. Yep, we have some comforts in the Air Force.
8) One of the many Dirty Jobs that need to get done—unclogging thanks full of d___ cheese. 😂
9) Rubber Removal Truck that gets the runway back to prime condition from the rubber tire build up of landing all kinds of aircraft every day and every night.
10) Cleaning out a Pump Lift Station housing the base's solid water material. 🤢
