The Heroes Pull is an annual high-energy charity competition held in the Kansas City metro area as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run campaign to benefit Special Olympics Kansas. During the event, teams made up of local first responders, military members, corporate groups, and community members test their collective strength by pulling two massive public safety vehicles: a 30,000-pound Lenco Bear armored vehicle and a fire truck. Teams pull each vehicle individually for time, and their combined times determine the winners. To ensure a fair and level playing field, participating groups must adhere to a strict 1,500-pound total team weight limit. To keep the competition completely honest and accurate, event organizers relied on a scale right from our company, which was set up on-site to verify every team's weight before they took to the pull line. All funds raised go directly toward supporting Special Olympics Kansas athletes, providing them with year-round sports training, health screenings, and athletic competitions, and we are proud that equipment from our company played a vital role in making it happen!
