Foundation is one of the most important stages of a build. A bad canvas was never going to create masterpeice . This pad in paticular looks as if it would be a simple skim and fill, but we knew better. With neighboring trees, the roots even from trees far from the existing slab had grown towards the slab where moisture is present during the dry months. Roots were found all the way to clay. Sure it needed more material, and the cost was more due to us having to undercut deeper. But skipping that simple step could've caused future voids and cracks under and in the slab due to decaying roots never removed.
Majority of pads we complete, customers already have their concrete contractor ready to form and pour. There is the select few who dont have anyone in line or simply just want top quality work.
