TOP 8 REASONS HYDRAULIC HOSES FAIL:

1. TUBE EROSION: Tube erosion is generally caused by concentrated high-velocity stream of fluid by small particles in the fluid

2. FLUID COMPATIBILITY: Incompatible fluids will cause the inner tube of the hose to deteriorate, swell and delaminate as well as wash out.

3. DRY AIR: Numerous tiny cracks can develop due to aged or dry air. This type of failure may be hard to spot since the hose may remain flexible, however, you will see signs of external leaking.

4. MINIMUM BEND RADIUS: If the hose is exceeding the tested bend radius the hose may flatten or collapse in the bend area.

5. INSERTION DEPTH: When the hose is assembled, the fittings must be pushed on completely. Marking the insertion depth can eliminate the dangers that can occur if the fitting is not properly installed.

6. IMPROPER ASSEMBLY: Not only is it dangerous to have an improperly assembled hose, but contamination can also occur. When cutting a hose, metal particles can settle inside the hose if it is not properly cleaned. The debris left can cause contamination to the hydraulic system.

7. HEAT: Overheating a hose assembly can cause the hose to fail. Overheating will cause the hose to become very stiff, the inner tubing will harden and begin to crack. In some cases the outer cover may show signs of being dried out. Every hose has a temperature rating, it is important to know the temperature needed in your application.

8. ABRASION: Hydraulic hoses are put through rigorous applications every day which eventually take their toll. Inspecting your hose on a regular basis can avoid leaking due to abrasion. We offer spiral guard and sheathing to protect your hose against rubbing.

This is a service and parts center and our ability to get customers’ business often depends on your ability to provide them with the right part or solution in a quick and efficient manner. During this process you will be building ongoing business relationships and cultivating new business.

As an Office Associate/ Inside Sales you will work in a team environment, however, must be self-motivated and be driven by a desire to exceed expectations. Must have a sense of urgency, able to prioritize and multitask efficiently to provide the customers with the right solution. Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and build solid relationships with a wide variety of customers is critical. Must be able to take direction in complex situations. Knowledge of QuickBooks and industry related experience is a plus.
