Back to full digging power 🛠️

Today we assisted a customer with the boom and bucket hydraulic cylinders on their Komatsu PC78MR. When cylinders start leaking or bypassing internally, the machine loses holding strength, the boom creeps down, and the bucket won’t keep its curl under load.

We inspected the cylinders, identified the wear points, and got them set up so the machine can hold pressure and work the way it’s supposed to again — no more fighting the controls or constantly correcting the boom.

A lot of people think it’s a pump or valve issue when a machine won’t hold position. Most of the time, it’s worn seals inside the cylinder allowing oil to pass across the piston.

If your excavator won’t stay up, feels weak, or is leaving oil on the rod, bring it by. We’ll help you figure out exactly what’s failing before it turns into a bigger repair.

Another job in the books 💪

Today we helped a customer get back to work by building a set of hydraulic hoses for a pressure-regulated auger attachment on their 8,000 lb class excavator. Augers put constant load on a hydraulic system, so correct hose sizing, pressure rating, and proper fittings aren’t optional — they’re what keep motors alive and downtime low.

We measured, matched the fittings, pressure-rated the assemblies, and had them ready the same day so they could get right back to drilling.

If your attachment is slow, overheating, or blowing hoses, it’s usually not the attachment — it’s the hydraulic flow and pressure setup. We can help you diagnose it and build hoses that are actually spec’d for the job, not just “close enough.”
