Thank You, Traverse City!

Last week, we opened our doors to customers, builders, and industry partners for our Traverse City Expansion Open House!

A special thank-you to our more than 50 vendor and industry partners who traveled from near and far, shared their expertise, showcased their products, and helped bring our building community together. We truly appreciate the time and effort each of you invested in this event.

To everyone who stopped by, thank you for spending part of your afternoon with us. And to our Preston Feather team, thank you for all the hard work behind the scenes that made the day possible.

Partnerships are what make building Northern Michigan possible, and we're grateful for every one of them.

Every company has a website. We wanted ours to be something more.

This website may carry our name, but its story belongs to the people building Northern Michigan.

For 111 years, we've had the privilege of supplying materials to thousands of projects. Behind every project is a builder who takes pride in their craft, a homeowner pursuing a dream, and skilled tradespeople turning plans into places where life happens.

As we created this new website, we spent countless hours visiting jobsites, listening to stories, capturing projects, and gathering inspiration from the builders, homeowners, and communities we're privileged to serve. Along the way, many customers welcomed us onto their jobsites, shared their work, offered ideas, and trusted us to help tell a small part of their story. Thank you.

The video below is one of those moments. Filmed while gathering content for the new website, it captures more than a beautiful jobsite in Northport. It reflects the craftsmanship, partnerships, and pride that define building in Northern Michigan.

Whether your work appears on these pages or not, this website reflects an entire building community. Every relationship we've built and every project we've had the privilege to be part of has helped shape who Preston Feather is today.

We hope you'll take a look.

We hope you see Northern Michigan. We hope you see home.

Can you spot the double thumbs up? 👍👍

That’s Mike, our Traverse City Location Leader.

The Preston Feather signage has just gone up on our new Traverse City Distribution Center. Even with last week's wildfire haze, you could still see what this moment meant after months of hard work from Mike and the entire Traverse City team.

Thanks to someone on the team for catching this genuine moment!

Not every building material delivery requires a ferry... but some of the coolest ones do.

It's not every day you see THREE Preston Feather trucks lined up on the Drummond Island Ferry. Moments like this are a reminder of what makes serving Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula so unique.

We make deliveries into the U.P. every day, and we're proud to support the builders, contractors, and homeowners who call it home. Whether it's across the Mackinac Bridge, onto Drummond Island, or down a winding back road, we'll find a way to get the materials there.

A special thank you to all of the ferry crews that keep Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula connected. From homeowners and contractors to businesses like ours, so many of us rely on you every day—often without giving it a second thought.

Northern Michigan has always been worth investing in.

Preston Feather has continued investing in that future with the expansion of our Traverse City distribution and operations facility.

The nearly 30,000 sq ft addition strengthens inventory, delivery, and operational capabilities while helping support builders, developers, remodelers, and homeowners across Northern Michigan for years to come.

We’re proud to continue building alongside the people shaping Northern Michigan’s future.

Yesterday’s Builder Grill-Out brought together builders, homeowners, customers, vendor partners, and many others connected to the Northern Michigan building community at our Boyne City location.

The afternoon was an opportunity to reconnect ahead of another busy building season and celebrate the relationships that continue to strengthen the communities we serve.

It was also great to welcome people into the updated showroom and share the continued investments being made in Boyne City.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event a success.
