Brinkley's Hardware will be open during our regular business hours, but we have implemented some changes in accordance with CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

**If you are sick, think you are sick or have been around someone known to be sick....STAY HOME .If you NEED something from our store and you don't have anyone who can pick up for you, please call our store and arrangements can be made to take your order and payment over the phone. When you arrive...STAY IN YOUR CAR and call us so that we can bring your order out to you. Our phone number is 252.357.1867

**Please be mindful of remaining 6 feet away from other customers and our employees. We have established lines 6 feet apart on the floor leading to both check outs. Respect each other's space.

**When a staff member is personally helping you find something down the aisle, please, please maintain 6 foot distance.

Our goal is to continue to provide a service to our community, while doing our part in keeping everyone safe and well. We will be routinely wiping down high touch areas with CDC approved disinfectant. Our staff will be using hand sanitizer between customers.

We appreciate your continued business during these trying times. Please remember to continue to support other small businesses in our county. Think before driving "to town". Small businesses are struggling to keep their employees working and the doors open.

We are looking for friendly, passionate people with experience in retail sales and customer service. Applicants are required to be motivated, self directed and eager to take initiative in learning all aspects of the products we sell. Potential to advance to full-time status after 90 days of satisfactory performance. We are open every day except for Sunday from 7AM to 6:30PM, so a flexible schedule is a must.

Sales Associate/Clerk-Part Time

Sales Clerk responsibilities and duties:
Greet customers when they arrive at the store and ask if they need assistance
Process sales transactions at the POS (point-of-sale) counter
Suggest up sell items to customers based on the items they have chosen
Execute special orders for items that are not in stock or that we do not carry
Replace merchandise on the shelves, paying special attention to end caps
Build rapport with customers and provide them with genuine guidance and support
Deliver excellent customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction
Work with customers to determine their needs and then recommend the right product to solve the customer’s problem
Assist in ensuring that the product presentation area is clean and organized
Develop and cultivate strong buying relationships with customers
Use company literature and available training resources to stay up to date on product features
Have a working knowledge of all the products we sell, including outdoor power equipment.
Complete sales independently and accurately.
Train new sales staff as needed by management

Sales Associate/Clerk qualifications and skills:
High school diploma/GED
1+ years’ retail sales or customer service experience a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
