What VettePros is working on this week: 2012 C6 Grand Sport with a couple of common problems. First up front was a new harmonic balancer, bolt & seal. Up next was the fuel leak from the driver side fuel pump. Last but not least was noise from the torque tube. Once we pulled the tube we found out that someone had attempted to rebuild the torque tube in the past and had reassembled it wrong. The driveshaft was seated 1/2 inch too low in the tube and caused the new couplers to twist up (see picture #3 &4). It just goes to show that if you are going to have someone tear your car apart, make sure they know what they are doing. Since we had the torque tube out, we also installed a new rear main seal on the engine.
