Full Time 40- 50 hours a week
Pay based on experience $24-$28 /Hr.

2 Pipe Welders Work is in town $28-$30 /Hr.

2 Structural Welders Out of town Mon-Fri $24-$28 /Hr. (Must not be afraid of heights)

2 Structural Fitters/Fabricators for the shop $24-$28 /Hr

2 Structural Welders for the shop $24-$26/Hr

All welders will need to pass a welding test. All new hires will have to pass drug test before employment.
Welders for out-of-town work will receive per-diem, paid ride time both ways to and from job, and hotel will be paid for.

Benefits after 90 Days:
Paid holidays
Health insurance Wells Mechanical to pay half health insurance BlueCross Blue Sheild.
Vision offered

After one year:
One-week paid vacation.
End of the year bonuses.

We are proud of our new purchase of our CNC Lazer Table from shopsabre coming to our shop in a few months. We will be able to cut up to 3/4" steel material and many other materials. If you never seen a lazer table in action these units are top notch. No cleaning, no slag, no mess.

Its Official!!!!! Doors Open at our New Facility on January 26th, 2026. New Fabrication and Welding Shop Coming to Gaston NC.

Take a look at some of the pictures from our new facility being built over the last year. The shop is 60'-0 x 200'-0 x 26ft tall.

Michael Wells and his wife Pamela Wells started Wells Mechanical Services LLC in July 2012 with the plans for the future to one day be able to build their own dream shop and now that has come true.

What all started with 9 acres of land in Gaston NC, in January 2025, turned into this new facility. We have over 20 employees full time, work includes water tower maintenance, plant maintenance, Fabrication, Welding, Sandblasting, Painting, Specializing in Carbon, Stainless, Aluminum, Portable Welding Services and much more. We have the equipment to cut on the CNC plasma table with capabilities of cutting up to 2” carbon, 1” aluminum, and 1” stainless. Equipment for rolling metal into various shapes, and for making rolled handrails. We are also portable welding with multiple trucks. We look forward to moving to Northampton County to start another chapter in Wells Mechanicals journey.
