I just pulled a 1961 to 1964 Cadillac HydraMatic Transmission from a 1963 donor Cadillac that has been sitting for at least 15 years and do not know the running, shifting condition prior. When I drained the fluid it did have a bit of the strawberry milkshake or pink look to it indicating some water is in the pan. I do not know when this occurred ... before or after being parked. While new fluid, gaskets and seals might revive this transmission to years of service, based on not knowing history and seeing compromised fluids I am selling complete as seen for parts.
INCLUDES: Everything pictures - transmission, oil pan, torus (torque converter), dipstick tube and dipstick and rear mount.
FITS:
- All 1961 to 1963 body styles
- 1964 Series 62, 75 Series and Commercial Chassis body styles
NOTE: 1961 to 1963 75 Series (Limo) and Commercial Chassis body styles had a couple of heavy duty internal components, however this transmission can be used.)
PRICE $300
DUE TO SIZE AND WEIGHT, PICKUP OR SHIPPING BY CUSTOMER.
www.EngineShipping.com is a good source for transporting these, as they have picked up many engines and transmissions for my customers over the years. These are about 250 lb. If you go with a transport company, they will usually require the transmission strapped down to a palate. I charge $75 to prep the transmission for transport. This includes providing a palate, and materials to securely strap the transmission down to palate and wrap in tarp or other material.
My Address is 104 New Rand Rd, Garner, NC 2752, which is near Interstates 40, 95 and 85. If traveling through NC and need a transmission you can save a lot on shipping if you stop by in person.
I CAN DELIVER ... SOMETIMES, If you are not too far from me, or in route to one of my traveling destinations. Ask if you are not sure.
