This morning we had our monthly driver's meeting. Our agenda included celebrating the prior month's success, safety, customer-driver relationship building, and inventory quality control. For this week’s employee spotlight, we are highlighting our 3196 Office Manager - MeLani Santos

Next month will mark 12 years strong for MeLani as an LKQ employee. MeLani runs one of the most productive and responsible accounting offices we have ever seen or heard of within LKQ. The success MeLani has daily greatly affects many processes at 3196, most of which have a direct impact on our customers.

With the introduction of ITMM (InTouch Mobile Manifest), MeLani was one of the leaders in the region in creating a smooth process towards closing manifests out the SAME DAY. Now, many locations are working towards reproducing MeLani’s process!!

We cannot thank MeLani enough for the hard work and dedication she has put into making 3196 Raleigh what it is today.

Yesterday, a few of our LKQ Raleigh employees went to visit our Charlotte crossdock warehouse. We toured the 350,000 square foot facility and it is HUGE. It was a great chance to see the amount of product that gets shipped, transferred, and inventoried on both the aftermarket and salvage side of our business. We also took some time to cook dinner for the folks that grind out each evening the Charlotte crossdock process. The work they do is imperative, ensuring all the cages of parts are emptied from the trucks, sorted to the right location, and then loaded back on the transfer trucks to get distributed to our customers.

Thank you to the awesome team in Charlotte for all your hard work! Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

Please help us in congratulating the winner of our “Driver page” contest, Reuben Mason. Reuben had the most amount of customers on his route to like our new page. The contest ended last Friday. Thank you, Reuben, for not only getting our page some likes, but also for delivering our parts to our customers efficiently and with a smile!

Good morning everyone! We'd like to continue recognizing the amazing people that make LKQ Raleigh what it is. This week’s employee spotlight, Mr. Jimmy Fobbs, is the epitome of an LKQ Proud employee.

We gained both a valuable employee and mentor when Jimmy walked through our loading dock doors July of 2018 telling us we needed him on our team. Since then, Jimmy has provided excellent service for our route 3196013 delivery area and has formed many great relationships, both within our ranks and with customers. As a Carolina Panthers fan, Jimmy, with the best of them can diagnose team issues and relate that with our environment, helping keep us on track with a healthy work environment.

So, Jimmy, Kyle Allen or Cam Newton? 😊
