I posted a poll yesterday in our forum. If your not attending Policyholders Preservation Association of America conference, what are the reasons?
Number one response, both by the poll, and DM's was the current financial situation. Everything is expensive, and the income did not change. Folks are feeling it everywhere.
We charge 750.00 for 3 days of higher learning. We provide a beautiful venue on the coast, one of the best speaker line-ups of "true practitioners" that exists, and feed you a great meal all 3 days, with a dinner at the end. In other words, the conference does not pay for itself, we take up the shortfall, provide our time and services and try to recoup at least some of the hard costs. There are some who do it for money, and that is ok. There are others who do it because they feel they have no other choice. The four of us, Melanie Spoon, Natalie Maxey Hodge, Shaun Hodge... all fit into that last category, as do the speakers. Passion. Money will come later, when you quit searching for it... just like love.
That being said... you should never have to miss out on education due to finances. While we can't make it free... we can help.
The next 20 folks who purchase tickets at full price, (Without a graduate discount of military/first responder/LEO/Fire), we will get your room. There either at the Hilton or San Luis, whichever has the availability.
