Position: Sales Associate
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Sales Associate to join our Ace Hardware team in Gallatin, TN. This position involves assisting customers throughout the store while also helping with the day-to-day operations that keep our store running smoothly.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and help customers locate products and solutions for their projects.
* Answer customer questions and assist with product selection.
* Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain clean and orderly sales areas.
* Operate the cash register and assist customers with purchases as needed.
* Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving merchandise.
* Fill propane cylinders and follow all required safety procedures.
* Unload incoming trucks and shipments.
* Sort, organize, and distribute incoming freight to the appropriate departments.
* Assist with loading customer purchases into vehicles.
* Lift, carry, move, and load heavy or bulky merchandise as needed, including items such as grills, outdoor equipment, building materials, and other hardware products.
* Assist with inventory, product displays, pricing, and general store maintenance.
* Follow all store policies and safety procedures.
* Perform other duties as needed to support the store and fellow team members.
Qualifications
* Friendly and professional attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
* Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Ability and willingness to perform physical work throughout the shift.
* Must be able to safely lift and load heavy merchandise as required.
* Willingness and ability to learn forklift operation and propane filling procedures.
* Hardware, home improvement, retail, or equipment experience is a plus but not required.
* Must be willing to learn about the products we sell and help customers find the right solution for their needs.
