Immediate openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts for Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operators

This position will be responsible for operating and maintaining assigned screw machines in a safe manner to meet production expectations and quality requirements. Also responsible for minor machine repairs and set-ups. Must have mechanical ability, basic math skills, be dependable and quality oriented, able to read and understand standard operating procedures, blue prints and the use of gages and have the ability to frequently lift up to and/or move up to 30 pounds. We have a new paid training program to assist individuals in acquiring new skills.

We’re going to start delving into the various members that make up the Galion LLC team. Up first—Erica Bonen.
Erica has been with Galion LLC for 12 years. Currently holding the title of Quality Engineer, she started at Galion as a general laborer. Working from the floor up, she’s worked her way into her passion.
When I asked her what she loves most about her job, her immediate response was being able to help others develop and learn by sharing her knowledge. Caring and kind indeed. Citing that she too, not only makes mistakes, but learns from them as well. “Adaptability is vital for healthy change.” Erica displays this quality every day with the other members of the Galion team.
That ability to adapt is one of her greatest strengths, next to being organized and her uncanny ability to prioritize her tasks. Rina Heuss, Quality Supervisor for Galion LLC, confirmed that Erica is the most organized person that she knows. Jessica Dininger, Quality Manager, confirmed. Adding that no matter what Erica is doing, she will stop just to help in any way. There was a combined conclusion that Erica is very knowledgeable.
Highly hallowed by the members of the team here at Galion LLC, Erica’s plans are to continue to grow here at Galion, hoping to become a Senior Quality Engineer. Of course, this would only be after someone whom she admires and considers a mentor—Retires.
Erica currently attends Bowling Green State University for a Bachelor of Science in Technology, focusing on quality systems. In addition to working full time, Erica is also a full-time mother to two children. Raising her family is one of her greatest accomplishments that she listed when I inquired.
When asked about her hobbies, there’s a laugh. She doesn’t have much free time in between family, work, and home. When she has the opportunity, she enjoys making wine bottle wind chimes, decorative glass bottles with lights inside, and homemade ointments and salves. Excitedly adding that she also enjoys camping and fishing.

I’d like to introduce Stan Will, Galion LLC’s Vice President of Operations. Over 41 years, Mr. Will has worked his way up the ranks. Starting straight out of the joint vocational school, he began his career at Galion as a parts washer. Moving up through the chain, Mr. Will has done everything from performing as a Screw Machine Operator to Engineering Manager. To him, every day is a new adventure and his love for continual learning is rewarding. Pointing out that his greatest accomplishment is advancing through the past 41 years here at Galion LLC. If you ask Mr. Will what he likes most about his job, he’ll tell you he’s a firm believer in contributing to the growth of the employees within the company, as he has walked this same path and continues to do so.
I reached out to a few of his comrades at Galion LLC to see what they had to say about Mr. Will. Scheduler/Shipping Manager, Nick Evans, passed praise, “Mr. Will is always jumping in wherever he is needed—even weekends.” Adding that his hands-on approach is admirable. Our General Manager, Trey Bajat, not only agreed, but genuinely added that Mr. Will leads by example, and that his knowledge of the industry is extensive. Mr. Will stated his greatest strengths are his manufacturing experience, and team building leadership skills. It was in my quest for information, that I can clearly see there are big shoes to fill when he chooses to leave. Mr. Will is truly viewed as an esteemed component here at Galion LLC.
The question of where Mr. Will saw himself in five years was returned with the idea of continuing to contribute to keeping Galion LLC great. President, Howard LaCroix, affirmed that Mr. Will’s willingness to entertain change and promote it, were vital to the success here at Galion LLC.
“Great work ethics, create great opportunities.” Said Mr. Will. “When I first signed up at Pioneer Vocational School, it was for Diesel Mechanic classes. They didn’t have any openings, so I opted to try out Machine Trades.” Adding, “Who would’ve guessed this would’ve turned into 41 years at Galion LLC?”
Mr. Will is married, has one child, and one grandchild. In his time away from his work, he enjoys working around his seven-acre farm, antiquing with his wife, time with his granddaughter, and their two dogs. Declaring a few of his hobbies that included; fishing, hunting, classic cars, and reading.

Each year, Galion LLC and Juno show their appreciation by hosting a holiday feast for the Galion team. Catered by Port-a-Cook, ribs and chicken coupled with beans, potatoes, rolls, and cake were the top menu items. Just a side note—there wasn’t any bacon, but I’ll take it. The food was pure tasty deliciousness for all to enjoy, and for that - we thank you.
Howard LaCroix (President) and Stan Will (Vice President) stood up to offer words of praise, thanks, and encouragement, for the hard work and dedication that each team member contributed to making 2019 a great year. I would like to now invite you to check out Galion’s family enjoying their celebration. It was difficult to fit everyone in, but again, Richard is my happy helper. (He’s the one with the tongue hanging out.)
