“Secondhand” doesn’t always mean “used”! ♻️

A good portion of the donations we receive are brand new in sealed boxes. Or maybe the items were opened, the buyer realized it wasn’t quite what they needed, and never used it. Or possibly they used it only once or twice. 🤯

We’ve received brand new doors with the big box store stickers on them, shower doors in the box, windows in factory packaging, tools that sat in storage but never touched a project, sinks and faucets that have never been installed, and of course we’ve received many brand new (expensive!) light fixtures! 😱

So yes, buying “secondhand” doesn’t always mean buying “used”, but it does always mean you’re making a choice that supports a circular economy and reduces negative environmental impacts. 💚

Also, when you shop with us, you support over 40 hardworking paid staff members, 3 (soon to be 4!) brick & mortar reuse stores, and our charitable giving program! 🌟
