TETER had a fantastic time judging Shark Tank at Edison High School’s Engineering Pathways program.

It was incredibly rewarding to review and critique student engineering projects, providing practical feedback to help guide future engineers. We were truly impressed by the creativity, professionalism, and originality demonstrated by every Shark Tank student team. Events like this showcase the talent and innovation thriving at local high schools.

We’re excited to support and witness the next generation of engineers and young entrepreneurs as they pursue funding and bring their innovative prototypes to life.

Congratulations to Class of 2026 on your commencement today!

TETER is honored to be a part of your journey, particularly through the new Visual Art and Applied Science Building. We designed it to inspire innovation, foster creativity, and prepare students to enter the professional workforce.

The new Career Technical Education facility features simulation labs with patient beds, lifelike mannequins, and an automated medication-dispensing system similar to those used in real-world hospital settings. An observation room allows instructors to evaluate student performance and provide meaningful feedback in real time.

We wish all graduating students continued success as they take the next steps. Keep striving, learning, and leading.

TETER is pleased to announce that Daly Sombat has successfully passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Exam and is now a licensed Professional Engineer in California.

“Licensure gives me a greater sense of responsibility and confidence in the work I do. Being a PE allows me to contribute at a higher level in project design, coordination, and decision-making while building trust with clients and project teams. It's an opportunity to mentor the next generation in the same way others invested in me. Personally, it represents a major milestone in my professional growth and motivates me to continue learning and improving as an engineer.” - Daly Sombat, PE / Mechanical Engineer

"Congratulations to Daly on this milestone achievement, becoming a licensed Professional Engineer. She has been the engine driving our team in Healthcare and Education markets with her remarkable technical prowess, speed, and organizational skills. Now it's her turn to take the lead and showcase her talents to Building a Better Valley." - Steven Jones / Principal Mechanical Engineer

As Construction Safety Week concludes, we’re highlighting Senior Construction Administrator Ralph Williamsen, who personifies leading with purpose in the A/E/C industry.

With a strong commitment to mentorship and safety, Ralph volunteers his time to guide junior employees through active construction sites. He provides invaluable, real-world exposure to connect what they design in the office with what is actually built.

“I want them to understand and appreciate the safety protocols, challenges, and all the issues around logistics, which together affect cost and schedule. Each site visit is an opportunity to learn directly from General Contractors, Subcontractors, and work crews. Becoming comfortable on a job site helps office-based employees better grasp construction safety and the various phases of a build.”

Thank you, Ralph, for broadening their understanding and awareness.

Construction Safety Week continues with lessons learned from TETER Design Professional Francine Velasco:

“One key takeaway from the site visits is the importance of awareness in all aspects. While it’s imperative to stay alert to changing conditions and moving equipment, it’s equally important to recognize the risks construction crews face every day. These experiences have shown me that design is not just about buildability, but also about ensuring safety and practicality for the people who bring our designs to life.”

Teacher Appreciation Day honors educators for their vital role in shaping students’ lives and strengthening our communities.

That’s why TETER designs lounges with inviting, earth-toned palettes and a modern aesthetic. We create inspiring spaces where teachers can relax, recharge, and prepare to step back out and make a lasting, positive impact.

Thank you, teachers, for everything you do in and beyond the classroom. Your dedication inspires future leaders and enriches the communities you serve.

starts today! To mark this nationwide industry initiative, we asked our next generation of architects to reflect on what they’ve learned from their site visits:

“I’ve learned to look more deeply at spaces and consider the needs of every builder and end user. I ask myself: do they have the room and conditions to perform their work safely and effectively, or are there obstacles that need to be addressed? Preparation is important. I plan my PPE each week based on anticipated site conditions, and make sure I don’t put myself in a position where I’d need to remove essential protection during a visit.” - Brian Macias, Design Professional II

Investing in intentional preparation helps create safer projects and design better facilities.
