Back in action after: 4 new pillow block bearing inserts, for the cutter wheel & jackshaft. Downsized jackshaft pulley from 12" to 9". And a new cutting wheel & cutting teeth. New drive chain, pivot pins, and I forget what else, LOL.

This 1" bolt acts as the hinge (pivot) for the cutter head to move up and down. Because of all that wear, I could literally push on the engine and move the top of the grinder back and forth about 6"! I reengineered it with solid 1" shaft under all load points, and a 1" nut on each side. It makes no sense why Rayco would have designed these with threads under a load bearing polnt.
