Ricki Freund
April 16, 1953 - March 29, 2026
Some people leave a mark that time won’t erase, and Rick was that man. His presence shaped our work, our core values, and our daily lives in ways that will not be forgotten.
For more than 30 years, Rick dedicated himself to the craft of servicing and repairing center pivot irrigation systems. But to simply call it a job wouldn’t do him justice—it was his calling. His work was impeccable. The kind of workmanship that didn’t just meet expectations, but quietly raised the bar for everyone around him.
If something wasn’t running, he could fix it. If something seemed impossible, he would find a way. There was a confidence in his hands and a steadiness in his approach that made people trust him instantly. He didn’t need recognition—his results spoke for themselves, season after season, year after year.
But what truly set Rick apart wasn’t just what he could do—it was who he was. Dependable. Humble. Steady. And quick-witted—always ready with a remark that could lighten the day, even when the work was tough. He was the kind of person you could count on without question. He showed up, did the work right, and did it with a quiet pride that earned the respect of everyone who knew him.
He helped keep farms running, livelihoods secure, and communities supported. That kind of impact reaches far beyond any single job—it ripples outward in ways we may never fully see.
Today, we remember an expert in his field, a problem-solver, and a man who gave so much of himself to his work and to those around him. His legacy lives on in every system that runs because of his care, in every standard he set, and in every one of us who had the privilege of working alongside him.
He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
