Screwing around with a special project this morning. Beautiful weather and I'm blessed to be feeling much better this year. Have a great day everyone!

Congratulations to three talented young drivers! Most of our customers haven't heard of our ignition partner before, but they are HUGE in other powersports.

This racing is intense with insanely high rpm and speed. Awesome to watch!

Hauling brush and running errands will be so much better 😆 🤣

14 years ago we managed engine load by selecting an appropriate RPM based timing map. We built rotary switches that controlled four maps. Compared to mechanical points it was a huge leap forward.

Now we use TPS or MAP sensors to adjust timing at any given RPM which is independent of the base timing (load based timing compensation). The software and ECU capabilities are stunning. We can adjust timing by 0.5 degree increments.

Although we are striving to use modern technology for all classic engines, this particular feature seems like a "no brainer" for pulling because of the extreme load. We are firmly committed to this for our customers.

We all hopefully have that one friend who defends you even when it's not popular, who has more patience than your wife, who spends HOURS helping you get things right ... even when there's NOTHING in it for themselves.

I am blessed to have Mike Hitchens as one of my closest friends. No way I deserve him, but C5 would have closed down without Mike's help and encouragement. FACT

I'm holding my own with orders, but taking a week off to finish the shop roof. If you are interested in an ignition, wideband O2 sensor, or touchscreen display please call me ASAP!

As for headers, I'm booked for much of the summer. My son is going to be helping but I don't do "cookie cutter" and I'm not going to catch up anytime soon.

We APPRECIATE your trust in us! The shop expansion, flow bench, and dyno facility should be solid evidence of my commitment to science. Enjoy yourself and be safe.

I made this a few years ago to show how our C5 safety kill switch can disconnect coil power. It doesn't matter what you use for ignition, the ECU isn't controlled by the safety switch in this example.

Why do I prefer this setup? Cutting power to the coil relay forces us to USE A RELAY, it is effective in killing the engine immediately, and for those of us data logging and/or using the dash it keeps that operating even with the engine off.

Notice I didn't indicate fuses. Depending on your build, fuse rating and placement may be slightly different. Also... if you are controlling coil power using the Digital Output of our ECU (as we discussed last week), then #85 will NOT be grounded to the chassis.

Let's post a little green today. Stake family having a bit of fun. They won a C5 prize last season for being consistent. This year we aim to annoy more big cube tractors 😆
