We’ve added a major new capability at ColKy Designs & 3D Prints: high-resolution UV printing!

UV printing uses specially cured ink to apply crisp, full-color graphics directly onto parts and materials. That gives us the ability to create much more than a traditional flat label.

Here are just a few things we can now produce:

• Smooth, full-color and gloss designs
• Raised graphics and realistic surface textures
• High-resolution images printed onto 3D-printed products
• Custom metal tags and identification plates
• Logos, instructions and identification printed directly onto compatible parts
• Asset tags, QR codes, equipment labels and serialized identification
• Custom business tags, promotional products and keychains

This combines our design and 3D-printing capabilities with detailed graphics—opening up an entirely new range of custom business, industrial and personalized products.

We’ve been putting our new UV printer through its paces—and these new premium textured business keychains are the result.

Instead of only printing a flat image, we can build raised details and textures directly into the design. Wood grain, metal, ice, fabric, water and more can become part of the finished piece.

These can be customized with your logo, colors, contact information, QR code or promotional message.

None of these new capabilities mean much without the people who put in the work to turn them into finished products.

Sam, Makenna and Matt (not pictured) helped set up the new equipment, learned a new process, printing, prepping, assembling, inspecting and made sure the finished pieces came together correctly.

A new process, a returning customer and a finished product we were all genuinely excited and happy about!

The Bay Area Runners Club of Bay City, Michigan, trusted us once again to produce trophy toppers for their latest event. After creating their initial design, we received approval to use the project as one of the first applications for our new textured UV printing equipment.

We combined FDM manufacturing with full-color, textured UV graphic printing to create a trophy with more detail, depth, and visual impact than we could achieve through 3D printing alone.

This hybrid manufacturing process opens the door to a lot of new products, including our upcoming line of industrial labels, equipment identification, and custom branded components. Stay tuned!
