Thirty-five years ago, the United States led a multinational coalition to liberate Kuwait from Iraq. Every duty performed by our airmen, sailors, soldiers, coastguardsmen, and marines was important. The effort was honorable. The swift liberation was historic. The loss—even one loss—was unimaginable. While sacrifice occurred in the moment, for many it continues to be part of everyday life.

Fifteen years ago, the idea was born to create a commemorative work in our nation’s capital to honor the service and sacrifice of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. As construction now takes place in Washington, D.C., in close proximity to the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, we find ourselves wrestling with a wide range of emotions.

Hear this, veterans: Well done—and welcome home.

What is Freedom Forge? Freedom Forge is the idea that awesome products are produced by hand, one at a time, right here in America. If you Forge something it is a definite process, one that takes some muscle and sweat, but the result is a long-lasting quality product, kind of like Freedom. Our Forefathers sacrificed, sweat, and bleed to give us the awesome Freedom we have. It is ours to use and not waste, nor take for granted.

What was your first rifle like? Do you remember how it fit and felt - it probably was an off the shelf model that maybe never fit perfect. What if I said that you could have a custom rifle without the high-end build cost? By using the Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR) as a starting point, it is possible to get the rifle of your dreams. You might be thinking “MSR?” and about the black rifle you saw in some movie, Well let me assure you, this is not your father’s rifle.
