🐴 “Apparently I can’t nurse… Mom said it was for my own safety.”🐴

We are excited to welcome Thrill Seeker’s big c**t, born on Day 364 — she made us wait, but he arrived in style!

This group of Horses Breeding & Selection students has been hands‑on from the moment he arrived, helping with every aspect of post‑foaling care and gaining incredible real‑world experience.
Before foaling, we learned this c**t is NI‑positive (Neonatal Isoerythrolysis), meaning he can’t safely drink his mom’s colostrum because of antibodies that could harm his red blood cells.

To keep him healthy, we are:
🍼 Feeding frozen colostrum from our bank
🐴 Stripping Thrill Seeker’s milk
😷 Muzzling him temporarily to prevent nursing while still letting him bond
👩‍⚕️ Closely monitoring him
🎓 And giving students hands‑on experience every step of the way
