Allis-Roller LLC, a contract manufacturer of machined, welded and assembled components for the agricultural, construction and portable machinery industries, has an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires a broad range of hands-on technical knowledge, with a core focus on manufacturing equipment and building maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
• Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power, servo motors, VFDs, and PLC control systems. Basic electrical repairs and wiring for building projects.
• Fluid Power: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and air compressors.
• Building & HVAC Maintenance: Manage general facility upkeep, including minor plumbing, lighting, carpentry, dock equipment and building repairs. Monitor and perform basic service on HVAC systems.
• CNC & Production Equipment: Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
• Preventative Maintenance: Lead ex*****on of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs. Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities. Train others on basic PM work.
• Rigging and safe equipment moving skills (forklifts, hoists, rigging hardware).
• Safety & Documentation: Adhere to all LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and PPE safety protocols.
Requirements of the job:
• Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance is highly preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of industrial or facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in industrial maintenance. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings. Very strong mechanical aptitude and repair capabilities..
• HVAC/Pneumatics: Strong understanding of air compression systems and climate control hardware.
• Safety First: Mastery of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety standards.
• Tools: Proficient with multimeters and general hand/power tools. Basic MIG welding for small repairs.
• Cutting, grinding, and basic metalwork
• Equipment Knowledge: Familiar with welding/fabrication equipment; CNC machine expertise is beneficial. Rigging/equipment moving experience a plus. Basic welding and fabrication skills for repairs and fixture/building support work.
• Parts search and ordering: Solid computer skills to search for replacement parts, identify the lowest cost alternatives, coordinate purchase requests and delivery schedule requirements.
• Problem Solving: Strong diagnostic skills for identifying root causes of machine failures and implementing corrective solutions. Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA). Ability to propose machine/process improvements.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at elevated locations, and work in tight or awkward spaces common in a machine shop environment.
• Computer skills: Basic computer literacy (entering PMs, reading manuals, logging work orders). Microsoft Outlook, search engines, basic Word and Excel skills.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills
