It is with a heavy heart that we heard this week that long time Turbo employee Larry Brown passed away. Larry was one of the very first employees of Turbo Machined Products. Larry was with Turbo for nearly 25 years when he retired in 2020. Larry ran the Turbo office for many years and later on in his career he ran our IT department. He is remembered for his good nature and compassion but also for the great jokes he told. He will be greatly missed by all the Turbo Family.

Mr. Larry A. Brown, age 65, of Frankfort, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the MVHS St. Elizabeth Campus. Turbo Machined Products LLC (Located in Frankfort, NY) just received their new Mazak 5 Axis Machining Center! TMP was awarded a NYS Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) award for the acquisition of brand new equipment seen below! (Shown with our Executive Director John J. Piseck). This project also led to the retention of 10 jobs. The Herkimer County IDA is working with many other businesses within Herkimer County to assist with funding for projects like this to continue strengthening the local economy.

Turbo Machined Products specializes in the manufacture of high quality, high precision alloy components for the aerospace, turbo-machinery, gas and steam turbine equipment and high technology industries.

It is with genuinely mixed feelings that we announce that both Ed and Julia Brewer have announced their retirement from TMP effective February 5th. While we are happy for them and wish them a long and healthy retirements we will miss them greatly.

These events cause you to look back and appreciate the relationships and friendships we all have built and fostered along the way in good times and tough times. Ed and Julia are truly part of the TMP family.

Both Ed and Julia have been long and loyal employees. Julia has been a Shipping and Office Assistant for over 13 years and Ed has been the Quality Manager and a Quality Engineer for over 17 years. Each brought their skills, work ethic and commitment to Turbo Machined Products and helped it grow to the company it is today. Ed Brewer has worked in Quality for the last 56 years of his career !

The company is very proud of the good and important work they did for Turbo over the years. We are forever grateful for their support, guidance, accomplishments and contributions.

Because of current limitations on social gatherings due to COVID -19 , TMP is going to postpone a company retirement party at this time until cases in the area slow down and it is permissible and safe to gather. At that time, we will have an event which will recognize their long service and contributions and will afford everyone the opportunity to thank them for their work and friendship and wish them well on their retirement.

Ed Brewer will still be helping out at TMP part-time so you may see him from time to time. He will be helping TMP out with their audits and other special quality projects in a part time role.

Please join us in congratulating them on their retirement and wishing them many years of wellness and happiness !
