Good morning!! We had such a busy Saturday. It probably ranked up there with one of the busiest Saturdays that we have ever had. We are grateful that so many shopped local. Ryan and I always hear customers say that they are happy that we are here for the things they forgot in Chillicothe or Washington C.H. But sometimes, like Saturday, we are the first stop.

I posted about the Halloween decorations being down and got a lot of comments about Christmas decorations.😅 It will be a few weeks before we start putting them up. In the meantime, we will try to start checking lights and restringing some decorations. The framework will stay up outside, because we will be using it for Christmas decorations. A lot of time goes into the decorations. It makes us so happy that so many are excited for them!

That is a wrap on Halloween. It took Ryan and I about 4 hours to take down the decorations and get them inside. The flowerpots also went into storage. We are so relieved to be done.😅

We were so fortunate to get photos from a relative of Charles Orr. They hang in the store. He was the second owner of this hardware store. When it was Orr Hardware. People always ask us who is in the photos. Today we met the little girl on the right in this photo. She stopped in with her sister and her dad. She is Charles Orr's granddaughter.

We love that they stopped in. Even more so that they walked around and talked about their memories. The history, the 100 plus years of memories in this building, is what originally drew us to it.

Good morning! I hope that you are having a good week. We've had a couple of kids with colds and sleepless nights. So, while the store has been steady, we have been doing our best to show up and be productive. Some weeks are like that. Thankfully, not all weeks. We had to miss the Halloween parade last night, which was unfortunate because it was Paige's year to ride on the kindergarten float. I hope that it went well!

The trees in Frankfort are showing off right now. They are so pretty. We have a small business in such a sweet little village.

Things like Halloween parades will be special memories for the kids experiencing them right now. Thank you to everyone that contributes to those memories!

Good morning!! I felt so fortunate to spend time outside over the weekend. The weather was beautiful.

We had a lot of trick-or-treaters at the store yesterday. Ryan's mom, his sister and our niece helped us out, so that we could walk with Paige. Paige walked to the nursing home and decided that she was done trick-or-treating. Then she wanted to be carried. She said, "mom, you said I didn't need much candy anyway."😅 Thank you to everyone that passed out candy!

Ryan got he and I costumes, but the masks didn't arrive in time. They will be saved for next year, I suppose. I was kind of relieved.🤣 I wish that I could share what he picked out. It is kind of funny.
