The crew gathered this week to break in our new helmets — and snap a photo before heading back out to the field.

At Samiotes, the work happens in collaboration. In the office. On site. Around the table. And out in the field. These helmets are a reminder of something that’s always been true: we take safety, preparation, and accountability seriously.

New gear. Same commitment to getting the details right.

See you in the field!

in Progress.

Huddle Up for the Patriots! 🏈

The Samiotes team is all in! We brought the energy, the gear, and the spirit as we huddle up to root on the New England Patriots as they take the field in Super Bowl LX this Sunday vs. the Seattle Seahawks.

From Levi’s Stadium to every watch party across New England — here’s to teamwork, grit, and believing until the final whistle. We'll be cheering them on for that record-setting seventh ring! 🏆

It was great to be back at Northeastern University for the Civil & Environmental Engineering Career Mixer. We enjoyed meeting driven students and talking about land development, infrastructure, and design — and especially appreciated having Evan Eyler, a soon to be Northeastern grad and Project Engineer I at Samiotes, join us at the booth.

Thanks to the Northeastern Civil and Environmental Engineering team for hosting such a welcoming event. We’re always glad to connect with students who are ready to grow.

Samiotes marked the close of the year with a company holiday breakfast, offering a moment to reflect, connect and show appreciation for our team. Breakfast and coffee were provided by the local Saxonville Roastery, with breakfast sandwiches, muffins, hot apple cider and hot chocolate creating a warm start to the day.

During the gathering, employees received gifts including jars of honey from our colleague Michelle Kayserman, company swag (newly minted t-shirts with our updated logo!) and a letter of appreciation signed by leadership.

As we head into the holiday season, we extend our warm wishes not only to our team but also to the clients, partners and communities we work with throughout the year. We’re grateful for the relationships that make our work possible and look forward to the year ahead.

Mount Auburn Cemetery—America’s first landscaped “garden” cemetery—has long shaped how we experience landscape, memory, and public space.

We’re proud to have supported the renovation of Hazel Dell within the cemetery. We were honored to collaborate with the late Toby Wolf and Wolf Landscape Architecture on this meaningful project that improves accessibility and sustainability through ADA-compliant grading and integrated stormwater design. Today, the space welcomes all visitors and serves as a setting for community events.

This past week we were there to celebrate SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light, celebrating the winter solstice through an incredible event that featured art, light, and sound installations.

Happy Winter Solstice!

A More Welcoming Path In...

We’re proud to have supported Mass Audubon’s Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont, MA, with civil engineering and environmental permitting services for their new, more welcoming entry experience.

Working closely with Mass Audubon, the Town Engineer, and Stimson Architects, our team helped deliver accessible driveway and entry circle improvements, integrated stormwater solutions, and a design that enhances sustainability while bringing the historic main building into clear view upon arrival.

The redesigned entry creates a clearer, more accessible arrival experience while supporting long-term site sustainability.

It’s Back to School Season: We're thrilled to announce the opening of two incredible new educational facilities this Fall!

Phillips Academy Music Building in Andover is set to make its debut this fall as well. Named in honor of Amy Falls, President of the Board of Trustees, the 30,000-square-foot music education facility, includes a 250-seat performance hall, 19 practice rooms, classrooms, a music library, music studios, technology labs, and even a “rock room” equipped with recording and broadcast technology. This project continues the PA emphasis on resilient design with Low Impact Development Stormwater features such as a rain garden and water quality swales, as well as sustainable elements such as a geothermal wellfield. We always enjoy our continued collaborations with the Academy in tandem with the Design and Construction teams.

Florence Roche Elementary School in Groton is ready to welcome students into its new 109,855 GSF school building. Our firm is proud to have had the opportunity to collaborate with such an amazing Design and Construction Team. We will continue working on the final phase of the project, which includes the demolition and transformation of the existing school site into vibrant, usable open spaces, estimated to open in Spring 2025.

These two of numerous educational projects highlight our work and dedication to advancing learning environments and sustainable practices. Looking forward to seeing these spaces come alive and inspire future generations!
