🚀 Congratulations Amazon Kuiper Program. Amazon tops 100 satellites 👏

August 11: Kuiper constellation grows to more than 100 satellites. Amazon deployed its fourth batch of satellites on Monday, August 11. This mission sent another 24 Project Kuiper satellites into orbit, creating a total of 102 satellites.

Private spacecraft, Firefly Aerospace Blue Ghost, has successfully landed on the Moon carrying scientific gear for NASA. The touchdown is a big win for NASA’s partnerships with commercial space companies as part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program.

Congratulations to NASA and Lockheed Martin 👏

NASA’s X-59 Quesst, a supersonic experimental plane, has reached a major milestone by successfully testing the engine and afterburner with the ground crew in Palmdale, CA. Brining it closer to an actual test flight scheduled for the early part of 2025.

The X-59 plane is designed to be a quiet supersonic plane, with the goal of making commercial supersonic flight over land possible one day. The engine produces up to 22K pounds of thrust to reach Mach 1.4 (925 MPH). Unlocking the potential to fly from NYC to London in 3.5 hours.
