We’re excited to welcome Josh, our new Graduate Civil Engineer, and Alyssa McCoy, our new Office Manager, to the Evolving Texas team! Josh brings over three years of land development experience and a civil engineering degree from UT Arlington, with interests in site development, water resources, and residential projects. In his free time, he enjoys Dallas Cowboys football and writing collaborative stories with friends.

Alyssa joins us with a master’s degree in Information Science from UNT and a background in nonprofit administration and library services. Having lived abroad in Italy, the UAE, and Turkey, she brings a global perspective that shapes her collaborative, people-centered work philosophy. Outside of work, she’s an accomplished fiber artist and enjoys spending time outside with her energetic four-year-old daughter.

We’re thrilled to have them both on board. Welcome, Josh and Alyssa! 🎉

Are you ready to be tested? See, not every engineering partnership gets tested on short notice, but those are the moments that reveal who’s truly in your corner.

Recently, one of our developer partners found themselves in a tough spot, and they needed a new engineer to pick up the baton on FIVE projects across the country. Challenge accepted 🏃💨 .

The whole team rallied and got to work navigating approvals at record speed. No heroics. Just real teamwork, long hours, and open lines of communication (with a few late-night Teams messages for good measure).

It's in these moments that our core values shine brightest:
💫 Partnership
💫 Transparency,
💫 Genuine commitment to our clients’ successes

We didn't just save projects. We earned trust, built new relationships, and proved (to ourselves and each other) what happens when you put people before process.

That’s the Evolving Texas difference. Here’s to every teammate who said, “Yes, let’s do this,” and to every client who trusts us to go the extra mile.

Leadership isn’t just about managing projects. It’s also about caring for people.

This video from our CEO Samantha Renz's interview on the Suite Mornings podcast captures a side of her that inspires us every day. Beyond her role at Evolving Texas, she’s committed to showing up and encouraging us and the community she supports at the Soul Tea Foundation to challenge our limiting beliefs.

Because when leadership invests in people, it shapes the way the team approaches every project, building not just infrastructure, but trust and connection too.

Last week was Professional Engineers Day, and while we raised a glass to our PEs on LinkedIn, we failed to here on Facebook. So, here's to those who’ve committed to the highest standards of technical excellence, public safety, and lifelong learning.

Getting those two letters after your name isn’t easy. It takes years of education, experience, passing exams, and continuing education credits. But more than that, it takes integrity and a commitment to doing things right.

And to our professional engineers here on the Evolving Texas team, thank you for putting in the miles across the DFW metroplex (and beyond!), sweating the details, and holding the line on every project. Your stamp is more than a seal. It’s a promise.

We take our work seriously, but we also take our pet photos very seriously 🐶.

Whether they’re supervising plan sets, guarding lunch, or offering moral support during submittals due at 3 PM, our furry coworkers are part of the Evolving Texas team.

Here’s to the unofficial team members who keep us grounded, goofy, and occasionally covered in fur.

🐾 Meet the pets behind the projects~

Pull up a chair. This is where good projects get better, through collaboration, questions, and a whole lot of markers.

From site planning to problem-solving, here at Evolving, we believe that the best work happens when everyone brings their ideas to the table. Literally.

Because just like great engineering is executed by teams that care, a great business is planned and coordinated with great care, too.

Last Friday, our team got our momentum going with our Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Focus Day, facilitated by Duke Revard, Professional EOS Implementer. The purpose? To keep Evolving Texas, well, evolving!

Here’s to a fresh week of making progress, one focused step at a time 👣.

Not all progress happens on a job site 🏗.

Sometimes it looks like an engineer deep triple-checking grading calculations on a Monday morning.

Other times, it’s an executive assistant sketching out a to-do list that keeps operations aligned with work for the week.

Around here, we know that greatness happens in quiet moments too. The kind that doesn’t make headlines but makes everything else possible.

It’s not flashy or loud. But it’s how we keep things evolving, together.
