R-1234yf is the new refrigerant standard and the machines that service it aren't cheap. We dropped one in for the Cooper Pit Stop team in Arlington — got it set up and running so their technicians are ready for the summer season.

Summer's coming. Your compressor doesn't care.

Heat is the number one compressor killer. Intake temps rise, efficiency drops, the motor works harder — and if your filters and dryer haven't been touched since last fall, you're already behind.

Most shops find this out in July with three cars in the bay and no air.

A lift that looks fine can be a lawsuit waiting to happen. Lifts should be inspected every year — hydraulic lines, locking mechanisms, base integrity, safety releases. Most shops aren't doing it. Most find out there's a problem when someone's underneath it.
