Alconex Specialty Products Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Alconex Specialty Products, Inc., is the largest U.S. owned manufacturer of aluminum and copper magnet wire products.

Alconex Specialty Products, Inc. is based on a unique manufacturing process called continuous extrusion. Alconex started as an aluminum magnet wire supplier located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Alconex began with one bare aluminum line, one wrapped aluminum line, and three employees. The primary industry that Alconex served in the early years was the dry-type transformer industry. Today, Alconex sup

plies both aluminum and copper magnet wire. Alconex operates bare aluminum and bare copper lines, insulated aluminum and insulated copper lines, and works three shifts daily. Alconex still remains a major supplier to the dry-type transformer industry, but is now also a supplier in the fluid-filled transformer industry, motor industry, as well as the generator and separator industries.

Our Fort Wayne, Indiana (USA) facility expansion is progressing well, thanks to the great partnership with Briner Building, Inc. 👏

Their team pushed through the challenges of a cold and snowy Indiana winter, and we’re now entering the final stretch of construction just as spring begins to arrive.

We’re excited about what this expanded space means for the future—increasing our capacity and supporting our customers as they continue to grow.

We are expanding our Fort Wayne, Indiana USA headquarters! Briner Building, Inc. broke ground late September on our 40,000 square foot addition.

This addition will allow us to continue to grow our operations with many recent equipment acquisitions that will expand our capacities in bare aluminum, bare copper, and insulated aluminum and copper!

Excited to grow our footprint here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, and offer more jobs to the local economy.
