Fun wood fact:
The dark lines in Ambrosia Maple aren’t natural grain patterns—they’re caused by ambrosia beetles. As the beetles tunnel through the tree, they introduce a fungus that stains the surrounding wood, creating these unique streaks and patterns.
If you look closely, you can see the pinholes left behind by the tunneling beetles.
