We were proud to attend the Career Academy 2026 Signing Day and celebrate an exciting milestone with Sid Stemen.

Sid has been part of our team through the welding program over the last several months, and we’ve enjoyed watching his skills, work ethic, and passion for welding continue to grow. We’re excited to officially welcome him to the Ottenweller team!

Our skilled tradespeople are the backbone of Ottenweller Company.
Today, we also celebrated with our intern, Gage, who signed on to stay with our company after high school. Welcome to the team, Gage!

Did you know? Over 53% of workers employed in a skilled trade are nearing retirement age while only 1 in 5 students graduating from high school have shown an interest in trade jobs. Ottenweller is proud to foster the careers of tradespeople of all ages. Through our internship program, 12th grade students are able to learn practical skills that can immediately launch them into a career after high school. Many of our employees also upskill and are able to build up their careers within our own walls.

Meet our Small Machining Centers!

Our CNC machining centers use precision tooling and computer-controlled motion to mill, drill, and shape metal parts with accuracy and repeatability. Many of our components pass through machining after cutting to prepare it for later forming, welding, and assembly. Some assemblies come back to machining after they've been welded together!

Fun fact: CNC machines can hold extremely tight tolerances, making them ideal for creating features on complex parts that require consistency every time.

Our machining centers are powerful tools but would be useless without our skilled machinists who program, load, and maintain our machines. Their attention to detail ensures high quality, efficiency, and precision.
