The Silver Stripe of Doom.

That shiny silver bar creeping across the top of your Yamaha Connext 7 screen is the first sign of delamination. Frozen touch areas on your MasterCraft Black Label display? We frequently see this exact failure on the 10.6" PV1100 / HV1100 screens found in 2018 to 2024 MasterCraft boats.

This one came off a 2019 MasterCraft. Certain sections of the touch screen stopped responding, leaving the owner locked out of key controls at the helm.

It looks like water got inside your 2015 Malibu 7 inch screen. It is not water.

That is the optical bonding glue between the cover glass and the LCD breaking down and going liquid. It pools, it runs, and it leaves watery blobs and streaks trapped behind the glass where you cannot wipe them away. Most owners first notice it as a bubble or a lifting border in one corner, then watch it creep toward the middle over a season.

This 2019 Centurion Fi23 came in completely locked up. The 12.3 inch PV1200 display boots to the warning screen, but the acknowledge button will not register a single tap. The boat cannot leave the lift even though everything else on it works perfectly.
