The AME Team Celebrates the Holidays at South Bar & Restaurant🎅...
..with fantastic food, great company, and a crafty competition!
This year, our annual holiday party brought the team together for some spirited fun, good drinks and food, and a Gingerbread House showdown!
The creativity and sugary engineering were off the charts as teams built their candy-coated houses.
The day reminded us of the joy and camaraderie of working together. Happy holidays to all of us!

Abnormal noise from a vessel's port thrust bearing? Our team handled it!

🔧 Disassembled, replaced the rolling element bearing, and reassembled the port thrust bearing
🔧 Reinstalled Centa links, spool shaft, and rubber element
🔧 Ensured everything was torqued to spec

There's much to be thankful for this season! To our hardworking team, valued customers, and dependable vendors - we want to say THANK YOU. Your trust in us makes everything we do possible.
We celebrated Thanksgiving and marked the occasion of maintaining a perfect safety record in October, a week early, during our monthly safety lunch.
Of course, no celebration is complete without a little competition! We held a dessert contest, and the results are in! Marcos’ Venezuelan flan took the top spot, while Mackenzie’s apple pie came in second. Yum! 🍰 🥧
Please note we will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th, to allow our team time with their families. Operations will resume Monday, December 2nd.

Our team recently completed a coupling install and alignment project for one of our industrial customers' facility pumps. We upgraded the systems to keep everything running at peak performance. ⚙️
Here is our task list:
- Took initial alignment measurements before coupling removal
- Replaced old couplings with brand-new assemblies
- Carried out a laser alignment between motors and pumps with pinpoint accuracy
- Conducted vibration analysis post-commissioning to ensure optimal performance
These enhancements = improved efficiency, reduced wear, and reliable operation for the facility. We're all about delivering dependable solutions through precise mechanical engineering repair.

After a vessel's grounding, we replaced engine mounts and realigned main propulsion units to restore optimal performance. Conducting comprehensive repairs in Newport, RI, our detailed vibration analysis revealed necessary alignments. Through the removal and reinstallation of propellers, shafts, seals, and bearings, we've ensured the vessel's smooth operation.
