⚙️ IS YOUR AUTOMATION SYSTEM HELPING OR HOLDING YOU BACK? ⚙️
Modern yachts depend on automation for nearly every onboard function.
From tank monitoring and alarms to power management, lighting, HVAC and vessel monitoring.
When these systems become outdated, owners and crew face:
Reduced reliability
Obsolete hardware
Limited support options
Increased maintenance costs
Growing operational risk

At TESS, we specialize in complete Alarm & Monitoring System (AMS) and Power Management System (PMS) modernization projects.

Unlike many retrofit approaches, we replace aging infrastructure rather than building new systems around old components.

Benefits include:
✅ Improved system reliability
✅ Modern visualization and control
✅ Elimination of legacy failure points
✅ Standardized engineering philosophy
✅ Easier troubleshooting
✅ Long-term supportability

With over 40 years supporting the superyacht industry, Tess delivers automation solutions designed for the next decade, not just the next season.

⚡ WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PMS FAILS? ⚡
The real question isn't whether a failure can happen.
The real question is:
Can the vessel still get home safely?

At TESS, our Power Management Systems incorporate dedicated Get Home Safe circuitry that allows operators to manually control generators and breakers if the primary automation system becomes unavailable.
Benefits include:
✅ Continued vessel operation during system failures
✅ Manual generator control capability
✅ Manual breaker operation capability
✅ Increased redundancy
✅ Enhanced crew confidence
✅ Reduced operational risk

Many modern systems focus solely on automation.
We focus on what happens when automation is unavailable.
Because getting home safely is what matters most.

From the docks to the open water, the values we carry into every job reflect what this flag stands for.
Integrity. Craftsmanship. A commitment to doing things right.

Happy Flag Day from our crew to yours.

⚡ STILL TRUSTING 20-YEAR-OLD RELAYS? ⚡
In today's superyacht environment, reliable power isn't optional.
Many vessels are operating with obsolete power management systems where aging relays, breakers, and control hardware create hidden risks that can lead to:

- Blackouts
- Generator synchronization failures
- Reverse power trips
- Loss of redundancy
- Costly downtime

At TESS, we don't simply replace controllers.
We engineer complete Power Management System upgrades by removing legacy equipment and installing fully pre-wired replacement panels built in our facility before arriving onboard.

Benefits include:
✅ Reduced vessel downtime
✅ Improved reliability
✅ Modern controls and monitoring
✅ Standardized system architecture
✅ Easier troubleshooting and maintenance
✅ Faster class approval process
✅ Long-term parts availability

Our PMS solutions utilize proven technologies including DEIF, ComAp and Gensys controllers.

Most vessels won't require another major PMS upgrade for 10-15 years.
Trusted Power. Engineered Reliability.

Shore power is among the most critical components of a vessel's electrical system and one of the most frequently misunderstood.

The transition between shore power and onboard generators requires precise load control and proper configuration within the power management system. When that integration is incomplete or incorrectly set up, every piece of electrical equipment onboard absorbs the consequences.

The results range from brownouts and erratic system behavior to a full deadship condition in the most serious cases.

Correct integration across shore power sources, generators, and power management systems ensures stable, protected operation and removes unnecessary stress from onboard equipment.

TESS supports and integrates leading shore power converter systems, including Magnus, with an emphasis on getting the integration right rather than simply supplying the equipment.

The Frankentek platform is built to grow alongside the vessels it protects, with new compatible products and integrations added to extend what the system can do.

Each addition is designed to work within existing onboard infrastructure, broadening the functionality and adaptability of Frankentek Security Systems across a wide range of vessel types and configurations.

TESS provides full support for the integration, commissioning, and continued development of these systems throughout the global fleet.

Most electrical failures on vessels do not begin with a dramatic event.

They start as minor irregularities that are easy to overlook or attribute to something else.
An occasional breaker trip, a panel that runs warmer than expected, or inconsistent lighting are not nuisances to be ignored. They are early indicators of stress building somewhere inside the system.

Left unaddressed, small imbalances drive up resistance and heat over time, wearing down components well before their expected service life.

A preventive evaluation locates the source of that stress before it escalates into an unplanned failure or a more costly repair.

Electrical modifications are a standard part of keeping modern vessels current.

Navigation systems, stabilizers, inverters, and lithium battery banks get added as technology advances and owner expectations grow.
What often goes unaddressed is whether total electrical load and distribution balance have been recalculated to match those additions.

Systems can appear to function normally while absorbing levels of stress they were never designed to handle.
Legacy wiring, partial upgrades, and undocumented changes frequently introduce limitations that stay invisible until a failure occurs under real operating conditions.

A comprehensive evaluation paired with targeted system improvements reduces the risk of overheating, nuisance tripping, and gradual component wear that compounds over time.
