Happy Memorial Day, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic and relaxing holiday weekend.

It has been an incredibly busy and rewarding three days out on the water. Every single trip this weekend was a major success with 3 days, bringing in an unbelievable total of 625 fish, along with some fantastic bonus catches and highly successful hog hunts. This is definitely a weekend for the history books!

I am absolutely exhausted, but I couldn't be happier. I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out, fished, and hunted with me over the holiday. I truly appreciate your business, your continued support, and the great camaraderie.

Now, it’s time for some well-deserved rest. Thank you all again!

We had an incredible day on the water today — honestly, it couldn’t have gone much better on either the morning or evening trip. The bite was absolutely on fire, and I’m confident our clients made memories they’ll never forget. I’m going to do my best to stay caught up on photos and fishing reports for ol’ Hubbard because days like this deserve to be shared.

One of the highlights of the day was this absolute monster hybrid striper — the biggest I’ve personally seen in years of guiding on Lake Hubbard. Measuring over 25 inches and weighing around 7 pounds, this fish was truly something special. What makes it even better is that this young man caught it on the very first cast of the afternoon trip. The excitement on his face said it all — he was dancing around the boat and will probably be talking about this fish for years to come. Congratulations, buddy, on an unforgettable catch!

The morning trip started out phenomenal until the weekend boat traffic rolled in and turned the lake into an ocean, but even with the rough water we still managed to put together an impressive pile of fish. Overall, it was just one of those special days on the lake that reminds you why we love what we do.

What a weekend on the water! The White Bass bite has been exceptional, with spinnerbaits and paddle tails producing consistent action. It’s been a perfect combination of steady casting and even better catching.

We’ve recently upgraded our setup with dual LiveScope units one on each side of the boat so everyone onboard can clearly see the fish and track their lure in real time. We also added the new Mega 360, giving us a complete view of what’s happening beneath the surface. These tools not only enhance the experience but help anglers better understand fish behavior and refine techniques, which can evolve year to year. Being able to see your bait presentation and adjust it to what the fish want is a game changer.

Texas Lead Slingers is also growing we’re excited to welcome our newest guide, William Guy , to the team. He brings great energy and a true passion for fishing, and he’ll be leading both Catfish and White Bass trips. We’re confident he’ll deliver the same high-quality experience our clients expect.
