Today KASTLE was awarded a contract by the US Army to test Standoff Chemical Agent Detectors in the Czech Republic, Autum 2017. KASTLE will be working with Vojenský výzkumný ústav. s. p. on their Military Testing Area near Vyskov, Czech Republic.

KASTLE receives a new contract from the US Army to conduct open-air chemical warfare agent testing of standoff detectors at the Vyskov, Czech Republic test site. The pictured device will contain agent vapors that will be detected and identified by the detectors. KASTLE will conduct decontamination testing on this contract in 2017.

Our Czech partners are preparing the pictured apparatus to create a chemical environment inside the cylinder through which they will direct a laser to detect the chemical's composition and concentration. These tests will aid in the development of a standoff chemical detector that can allow soldiers and first responders to find and avoid contaminated areas when enemies or terrorists have used chemical weapons.
