These things we build and the parts of our lives they see us through...

So far:
-Birth of a son
-Loss of a grandmother
-Thousands of hours of work. Time cannot be replaced - life is breathed into evert building one puff at a time. This will be a building that can stand for God knows how long.
-countless small hurdles, large obstacles, changes in the plan, reactions to the weather...

We are the buildings, crafts, projects, and farms. In turn, they are us.

Break equipment, fix equipment... never mind paying for parts for said equipment.

Could have been worse... these parts are made to be simple to replace, so guys like me with only the basics can even get it done.

Fun part was after showing interest in the of my titanium implant and it's post that this tooth cements to ( a different and faster curing than I'm used to)... he explained and showed me every part.

I'm not super surprised that its foundation elements and a column in any or have the same basics employed.

After a little grinding and polishing, I'm right back to smashing food to bits. It's an art and a science and for one brief moment I thought ... 🤔... maybe dentistry would be fun.

Only to find out it's almost always done indoors.

I'll keep building the shade. Instead, I think.

Now that I'm a dad I have a few questions...

1. Who left all these lights on?
2. Do you think money grows on trees?
3. How the hell did I get lucky enough to live the life I live?

Today, I introduced my son to the river that many enjoy that runs through our town. Then, filled my cast iron and cook for family I've had for a little over 2 years now.

I'm grateful. I'm fortunate. I'm lucky. I'm blessed.

I live in a time and place that is both incredibly inspiring, and awestrickenly confusing.

Happy forth of July!
