Anne Ogg – Turning Miniatures

Anne Ogg, a juried member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans, teaches woodturning at UNC Asheville in SkillSet. This community outreach program began in 2018 as a shop class for girls and has since expanded to all community members, reflecting her commitment to teaching. She is also a current board member and past president of Carolina Mountain Woodturners, the largest chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, and has demonstrated woodturning for clubs in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Introduction to Marquetry
with Charlie Brown in Asheville

Discover marquetry in this one-day class for beginners. Create a 5x7" mounted picture with expert guidance. All materials and fret saws provided.

Students will receive instruction and all materials, necessary to complete one 5” x 7” mount­ed marquetry picture to take home. Hand operated fret saws will also be furnished for use during the class and will be available for purchase at the end of the class.

The class is limited to six students to ensure personalized attention. No prior experience or tools are required. Secure your place now, and please bring a packed lunch, as only a short lunch break is scheduled to allow time to complete the project.
