Robert Clifford Harrison
April 22, 1968 - April 30, 2025
People enter our lives for:
A reason
A season
A lifetime
Nothing happens by chance. Every single person that comes into our lives does so for a purpose. We may not see it in the moment or even along the way, but every single thing that happens to each and everyone of us is part of a story and part of a journey toward a more meaningful peace.
Cliff Harrison was just such a person.
Robert Clifford “Cliff” Harrison was born April 22, 1968 in Texarkana, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents Fate Robert Harrison and Julia Ann Gage Harrison. Cliff is survived by two daughters Jordan Ashley Harrison of Houston, TX and Samantha Cook (Drew) of Austin, TX, grandchildren Karter Elizabeth Cashmere (Houston, TX), Roman Alexander and Poppi Aurora Cook (Austin,TX); sister Lorena Harrison Johnson (Antoine) of Texarkana, TX, nephews JuQuan Lamar Harrison, Daiveon Jarvis Johnson, nieces Ayania Brooke Harrison, Tylicia Alexcuis Johnson, and by partner Amy Hankins Blanz (Fayetteville, AR) and bonus sons Evan Robert and Mason Lee Blanz.
Cliff grew up working hard from an early age and had a great passion for helping others. As a young man he found joy in playing baseball, which led to playing in college until he traded in his cleats to be a dad. He worked as a single dad and completed his Bachelor’s degree in business. He worked for many years with his father in the family business continuing that passion for helping others. In 2017 he was able to get back into baseball, coaching with Fayetteville Youth Baseball, Senior Babe Ruth and most recently American Legion leagues.
Cliff was incredibly passionate about teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball but more than that he was teaching these kids about being part of something with their whole heart, and this was how he lived his life!
In 2022, Cliff suffered a “widow maker” on the baseball field and by the grace of God he survived! He always put God first then his family and friends and lastly himself. He believed that God had given him a second chance at life that day and everyday after he praised God for that and was committed to doing God's work in any way he could!
Cliff was a son, cousin, brother, father, grandfather, friend, neighbor and coach. His memory will live on forever as will his soul by the glory of God!!
He will forever hold a piece of our hearts, those that knew him and were blessed to share any part of his and our journey through life.
We will continue to miss Cliff being a part of our lives in body but he will always be with us in spirit until we meet again someday in the next life.
On this day, one year after Cliff entered his next chapter with His Father, Redeemer, Savior and Friend… I vow to remember him and honor his memory by telling the stories that I know and listening to the ones I do not yet know, and I pray that all reading this will do the same!!!
Cliff read his bible every morning and prayer was the first item on his “To-do” list every single day. On April 30, 2025 his bible sat on his desk (as it always was) close to him while he worked and it was open to the following hi-lighted passage and remains in that spot to this day, on that very page.
Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them and delivers them from all their troubles.
Dearest “BD” (the nickname my boys and I used to refer to you for 8 years and still use to refer to you today!!),
I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing you.. and my home and heart will forever be filled with memories of you, no matter who may come and go in and out of my home, my heart and my life… you will always be there as well. And I look forward to someday seeing you again and spending eternity with you.
All my Love,
AB (Amy Hankins Blanz)
