Practical solutions that deliver real capability in the field is what makes UVT different, and the Freefly Astro Max with the Sony LR1 payload is a great example.

Built around a 61MP full-frame sensor and a mechanical shutter, the LR1 setup is purpose-built for high-quality mapping and data capture. It also stays flexible with support for Sony E-mount lenses (smaller lenses are typically the easiest to balance).

Need to expand the mission? The modular LR1 system can be enhanced with add-ons like:

- A 640x512 thermal module for inspection and search and rescue
- A laser rangefinder for public safety and precision tasks

And when the job calls for more than stills, the LR1 can support 3D modeling and capture 4K video at 60fps, effectively turning Astro Max into a “flying cinema camera.”
