Timbers from an old factory in Lavonia, Georgia, now floor the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota.
Heart pine was plentiful along the Southeastern coastal plain in the 18th and 19th centuries, and builders used it in factories, mills, and schools. We milled these reclaimed timbers into Heart Pine Character Select flooring for the Snøhetta-designed library, built for longevity, authenticity, and sustainability. The grade keeps the knots, nail holes, and color variation that show where the wood came from.
