A thrown track usually is not random. Common contributors include incorrect track tension, packed debris, sharp counter-rotation, side-loading, and worn undercarriage components.

4. Travel up and down slopes instead of across them when conditions permit.
5. Cross curbs and sharp transitions at 90 degrees so both tracks remain supported.
6. Inspect the complete undercarriage if the same track repeatedly comes off.
