This June, The Big Idea Makerspace at San Juan College is excited to welcome internationally recognized Diné fashion designer Jolonzo Goldtooth, founder of JG Indie, for a three-evening Fashion Design Workshop Series.

Participants will explore draping, textile design, creative processes, and the tools that help transform ideas into wearable creations.

Whether you're interested in fashion, textiles, wearable art, sewing, surface design, or simply exploring a new creative outlet, this is a unique opportunity to learn from a designer whose work has been showcased on runways and stages around the world.

Thank you to Esther Martin for leading such a fun and hands-on sewing workshop! Participants got to choose their own fabrics, learn the basics of using a sewing machine, and create their very own colorful credit card holders.
