When a devastating earthquake struck Türkiye, it changed lives overnight. For one group of students, it also sparked a desire to help others facing similar challenges.

Through our Made to Move Communities™ program, these students worked alongside Otis mentors to create -powered mobility and safety solutions designed to help communities before, during and after natural disasters.

What happens when elevators and robots work together? 🛗🤖

At Ritsumeikan University’s Biwako-Kusatsu Campus, an autonomous cleaning robot can now travel independently between floors thanks to Otis Integrated Dispatch™. By enabling cloud-based communication between the robot and elevator, the solution helps expand automated cleaning throughout a seven-story university building.

It's one example of how our connected technologies are helping customers address workforce challenges and unlock new possibilities for building operations.

We're proud to share that the Grand Palais accessibility project has been awarded a Special Jury Prize at the 2026 Trophées de l'Ascenseur in France.

As part of the landmark's restoration and modernization, Otis installed 51 custom elevator systems, including solutions designed to improve access for people with limited mobility. The result is a more accessible experience for visitors while preserving the beauty and heritage of this iconic Paris destination.
