WMV is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Universal Automation Systems, an equipment builder, specializing in rack and barrel electroplating and other metal finishing processes. They have produced equipment for plating on plastics, zinc nickel, phosphating, and many other surface finishing processes. All employees, and the previous owners, Alfred Gatt and Chris Fitzpatrick, have joined the WMV family, to create a truly winning combination. The company has been renamed UAS Automation Incorporated and will operate as a subsidiary of WMV.
Having engineering and fabrication in north America to support WMV’s North American operations, will provide cost efficiencies and shorten delivery times for critical items. In addition, the engineering and software groups of WMV and UAS will be collaborating to achieve the highest levels of technology and productivity for metal finishers and manufacturers.
As an integrator of metal finishing systems, this allows us to better serve manufacturing plants with the automated material handling systems that are integrated within our systems. These include storage and retrieval systems, bin dumpers, conveyance systems, and robotics.
We look forward to working with our many customers and potential customers, to engineer and produce processing equipment that provides high productivity and quality parts.
